How to Obtain Microsoft Support Files from Online Services
Microsoft scanned this file for viruses. Microsoft used the most
current virus-detection software that was available on the date that the file
was posted. The file is stored on security-enhanced servers that help to
prevent any unauthorized changes to the file.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft
Windows 95, Microsoft Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2, and Microsoft Windows
98. There is currently no resolution for this problem in Windows 98.
A broadcast address is defined for each network physical
media type. For example, on Ethernet the broadcast address is defined as
0xFFFFFFFFFFFF; on Token Ring it is either 0xFFFFFFFFFFFF or 0xC000FFFFFFFF.
Packets sent to the broadcast address are expected to be received by all
stations on the network segment or ring.
