The Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-ins for remote DNS, DHCP, or WINS administration may not be listed on the Start menu if the services are not installed.

These tools are available in the Adminpak.msi file in the I386 folder on the Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2000 Advanced Server CD-ROM. You can install these tools on servers that are not hosting these services.
To install these tools, double-click the Adminpak.msi
file in the I386 folder on the Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2000 Advanced Server CD-ROM. Respond to the prompts as appropriate. The administration tools then appear on the Start
menu in the Programs
group as Administrative Tools
: The Adminpak.msi file is not available on the Windows 2000 Professional CD-ROM, but you can install it from the Server CD-ROM.
