SUMMARY

The Service Principal Name Troubleshooter for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 diagnoses and collects information that is used to troubleshoot common Kerberos protocol configuration issues for Microsoft Dynamics products.

File Name
  • Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) information that is collected by using Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI) such as service principal names (SPNs)
  • Application pool names that are configured in Internet Information Services (IIS)
  • Account Type: computer account or user account
  • AD DS distinguished name
  • Whether the account is set up as Account Trusted for delegation
  • Whether the account is set up as Account Sensitive for delegation
  • Registered SPNs for each computer and the corresponding accounts
  • Duplicate SPNs that are detected between accounts

  • Account Type: computer account or user account
  • AD DS distinguished name
  • Whether the account is set up as Account Trusted for delegation

  • Duplicate SPNs that are deleted between accounts
  • User Account Control value from AD DS
  • Accounts that have the same SPN that is registered for each (that is, a duplicate SPN value)
