Symptoms

Assume that you use a roaming user profile and enable client-side-caching (CSC) on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. When you log on or log off the computer, the computer sends additional "QUERY INFORMATION, class=FileNetworkOpenInformation" network traffic packages to the profile server. Additionally, if the network speed is slow, the logon or logoff process is slow.

Note This behavior does not occur when CSC is disabled.

For example, assume that you have a Windows 7-based client computer and a Windows Server 2008 R2-based domain controller (DC). When you use a roaming user profile and enable CSC, the network traffic between the client computer and the DC doubles.
