Consider the following scenario:
  • You hide a user's mailbox from the Exchange address lists in a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 environment.
  • The user has a manager in the organization.
  • You use Outlook Web Access (OWA) to view the Organization information about the user's manager in the address book.
In this scenario, the hidden user is still displayed in Direct Reports of the manager in the address book.

This issue occurs because the HiddenFromAddressListsValue property of the hidden user is not passed when the Exchange server generates the Active Directory session Read Recipient filter for Direct Report View and Distribution Group View.

To resolve this issue, install the following update rollup:
2788321  ( ) Description of Update Rollup 10 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 3

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
