SYMPTOMS

Inherited permissions on queue objects may be ignored. This can cause access problems and missing permissions in the Microsoft Message Queuing Snap-in security dialog box.

CAUSE

This problem occurs after the queue object's security descriptor is converted to Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 format, which causes some inherited permissions to be ignored. The result is a denial or elevation (or both) of privilege, and missing permissions in the Message Queuing MMC Snap-in security dialog.
