SYMPTOMS

When you try to map the Win32k.sys file, you receive the following error message:
Stop 0x00000050 (0xa0c50000, 0x00000000, 0x8045b8c7, 0x00000000). 0x00000050 (0xa0c50000, 0x00000000, 0x8045b8c7, 0x00000000)

CAUSE

This problem occurs if your memory resources are too low.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix Information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
