SYMPTOMS

When you run the WinSNMP Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) trap listener program (Winsnmptrap2.exe) on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 (SP4) to listen for SNMP traps that are sent from a remote computer, the Windows 2000 SP4-based computer may experience 100-percent CPU usage. The 100-percent CPU usage may continue after the remote computer stops sending SNMP traps.
