Symptoms

A Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005-based computer uses a touch screen resistive digitizer instead of a stylus pen. Additionally, this computer does not have an external keyboard. However, when you try to run the Out of Box Experience (OOBE) Wizard, the touch screen device does not work. Therefore, you cannot run the OOBE Wizard.

Cause

This problem occurs because the Tabsrv.dll driver does not support the use of a touch screen device when you run the OOBE Wizard.
