SYMPTOMS

When you run Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 on a computer that has a dual-core processor, you experience one of the following symptoms:
  • After you repeatedly log on and then log off by using the welcome screen, the pointer on the screen does not move in sync with the stylus pen.
  • When you rotate the welcome screen, the pointer does not move in the same direction as the stylus pen. For example, when you move the stylus pen vertically, the pointer moves horizontally.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if you have an older version of hotfix 922006 installed. Additionally, the issue also occurs when the hotfix 922006 is not installed or the previous hotfix 922006 is installed.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, install the latest version of hotfix 922006. For more information about this hotfix, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
