SYMPTOMS

When you try to obtain a reference to an IHTMLWindow4 interface from another process, the call to the get_frameElement command is unsuccessful. Specifically, the get_frameElement command returns an E_NOINTERFACE error value instead of the expected S_OK value. This problem occurs on a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer that is running Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because Internet Explorer tries to access the internal Window object by using a proxy. However, access to the internal Window object is not enabled across other processes.
