SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • You configure an Optimized Performance Collection rule in Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007.
  • You configure the tolerance type as a percentage value, and you select 0 (zero) as the sample value for the target counter in the rule.
In this scenario, the rule collects multiple values of 0. You expect that the rule will collect only one sample that has a value of 0. Therefore, the optimized collection and the non-optimized collection appear to be the same.
