In Microsoft Office Accounting Express or in Microsoft Office Accounting Professional, you click Export to Excel spreadsheet in the Item List report. When you do this, Microsoft Office Excel stops responding. Or, you receive the following error message:
There was a problem starting Excel.
Note To open the Item List report, point to Company and Financial on the Report menu, and then click Item List.


This problem occurs if an item has an alphanumeric value in the Vendor Item No. field.


To work around this problem, export directly from the item list instead of from the Item List report. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the Company menu, point to Company Lists, and then click Item List.
  2. On the Actions menu, click Export to Excel.
