When you install Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3), significant changes are made to many files and processes to improve the system security, reliability, and functionality of Windows XP. If one of these listed programs is installed on your computer, we recommend that you contact the software vendor for more information before you install Windows XP SP3. If you have already installed Windows XP SP3, the vendor may be able to give you an update or another solution.Note

What to do if your third-party program is not listed
If you have already installed Windows XP SP3 and are experiencing functionality issues with a program that is not listed in the table, first try step 1. If step 1 does not work, try step 2 or step 3. Note
If you do not know the vendor Web site or contact information, you can use the links provided in the "References" section to find it.
- Step 1: Restart the computer to see whether this resolves the issue. If it does not, try step 2.
- Step 2: Check the program vendor Web site for any available updates that make the program compatible with Windows XP SP3, or any upgraded versions of the program released after the Windows XP SP3 release date. If available, download and install any updates or upgraded versions of the program to try to resolve the issue. If this does not resolve the issue, or if there are no updates available on the vendor Web site, try step 3.
- Step 3: Report this issue to the program vendor. You can locate a contact link at the vendor Web site or using the links provided in the "References" section. Additionally, you can request from the vendor a program update or a later version of the program if one is not available on the vendor Web site.
