If you set Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 to automatically promote every e-mail message into Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0, Microsoft Office Outlook may stop responding when you perform one of the following tasks:
  • You exit Outlook.
  • You go offline in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 client for Microsoft Office Outlook.
  • You go online in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 client for Outlook.
Additionally, you may receive the following error message if you restart Outlook:
The Data file Mailbox "User Name" was not closed properly.
Therefore, you may experience slow performance because Outlook performs a self check. When a problem is detected, Outlook fixes the problem, or Outlook isolates the problem. Then, Outlook runs successfully. However, some add-ins and some extensions are disabled.
