After you install a localized version of Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3), you may be unable to load some Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-ins. Additionally, you may receive an error message that resembles the following error message:
MMC could not create the snap-in. The snap-in might not have been installed correctly.
Note By default, Windows XP SP3 has MMC 3.0 installed.

For example, you install a localized Windows XP SP3 for Portuguese-Brazilian version. Then, you may be unable to open the Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) MMC. Additionally, you may receive the following error message:

MMC could not create the snap-in. The snap-in might not have been installed correctly.
Name: Windows Server Update Services
CLSID: FX: {8B6499ED-0241-E032-6508-DA4B1C879D7E}

This problem occurs because the .dll files of the MMC 3.0 resource are incorrect.
