Bug #: 50003623 (SQL Hotfix)
Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2008 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2008 fix release.

SYMPTOMS

You configure transactional replication in Microsoft SQL Server 2008. When replication occurs, you receive the following error messages from the Log Reader Agent:
Date Time The process could not execute 'sp_replcmds' on 'servername'.
Date Time Status: 0, code: 18834, text: 'An unexpected Text Information Begin (TIB) log record was encountered while processing the TIB for offset 0. Last TIB processed: (textInfoFlags 0xffffffec, coloffset 8000, newSize 0, oldSize 1). Contact Customer Support Services.'.
Date Time Status: 0, code: 18805, text: 'The Log Reader Agent failed to construct a replicated command from log sequence number (LSN) {000035bc:00001d21:01e5}. Back up the publication database and contact Customer Support Services.'.
When you view the transaction log for the log sequence number (LSN) from the error message, you see the following entries:

Current LSN Operation
----------------------- -------------------------------
000035bc:00001d21:01e3 LOP_TEXT_INFO_BEGIN
000035bc:00001d21:01e4 LOP_SET_FREE_SPACE
000035bc:00001d21:01e5 LOP_TEXT_INFO_BEGIN <- Log reader fails when it reads this entry.

000035bc:00001d21:01e7 LOP_TEXT_INFO_END
000035bc:00001d21:01e8 LOP_SET_FREE_SPACE
