Bug #:

Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2005 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2005 fix release.

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services, you run a Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) query that uses the NonEmpty function on a large set. After you start to run this query, you may be unable to cancel it.

CAUSE

When SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services runs the NonEmpty function, SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services enters a loop of processing calculated members. The loop involves a very large number of tuples and does not respond to the query cancel request.
