Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2005 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2005 fix release.

SYMPTOMS

You apply Cumulate Update 9 for SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2 (SP2) or later versions to an instance of SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services (SSAS). When you synchronize an SSAS database, the operation fails. You receive the following error message:
Errors in the metadata manager. The dimension with ID of 'Dimension ID', Name of 'Dimension Name' referenced by the 'Cube Name' cube, does not exist. Errors in the metadata manager. An error occurred when loading the Cube Name cube, from the file, '\\?\Cube Path.cub.xml'.
Additionally, the data on the target server is corrupted. You may find the error message always refers to the same dimension and the same cube. You cannot synchronize the database unless you drop the database, and then re-create the database.
