This update also fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
  • A socket-forwarding malfunction that occurs when you use the Oracle Discoverer Client application through IAG 2007.

    Note This problem was found during the use of the Oracle Discoverer Client version 8.0.6.
  • A trusted domain authentication limitation that is relevant for a Windows 2000 domain.

    Details: IAG 2007 does not authenticate users in a trusted domain when you use the NetBIOS domain name instead of defining a DNS name in the Name attribute of the Trusted Domain object.

Prerequisites

Before you install this update, make sure that you either have IAG 2007 Service Pack 2 installed on an appliance or have IAG 2007 SP2 installed on a virtual machine.

Restart requirement

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this update.

Removal information

To remove this update, follow these steps:
  1. On the IAG 2007 appliance, open the following folder:
    drive:\Whale-Com\e-Gap\patchDB
  2. Double-click the Uninstall-last.bat file.
The removal process runs automatically. This process may take several minutes to be completed. When the removal process is complete, you are notified that the process was completed successfully.

Known issues

After you remove IAG 2007 SP2 Update 1, all configuration changes that are made after you upgrade to Update 1 are discarded. Therefore, we recommend that you back up an active configuration before you remove Update 1.

The English version of this update has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
