This article describes how to install Management Server of Windows Essential Business Server 2008 in a domain in which one or more domain controllers are running Windows Server 2008 R2.
You have a domain in which one or more domain controllers are running Windows Server 2008 R2. When you install Management Server of Essential Business Server 2008, you receive the following error message:
To continue installation, you must apply necessary Active Directory domain updates. Take the Prerequisite Planning Tools CD to domain controller <DC_Name>, run the Schema Upgrade Tool, and, then click Check again.
If you have already run the Schema Upgrade Tool, wait up to 15 minutes for replication to complete and then click Check again.
Then you follow the instruction in the error message to run the Schema Upgrade Tool from the Prerequisite Planning Tools disk on the domain controller. However, you receive the following error message:
The procedure entry point I_NetPathType could not be located in the dynamic link library NETAPI32.dll.
Then you run the latest version of the Schema Upgrade Tool on the domain controller successfully. However, you still receive the first error message when you install Management Server.Note

To resolve the problem of the first error message, install this update before you install Management Server.
