Consider the following scenario:
- You publish a Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server by using Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) 2010.
- An SMTP session between an external server and the SMTP server is active for more than 15 minutes.
- You try to create a report by using the Forefront TMG Management console.
In this scenario, you cannot create the report.
This issue occurs because Forefront TMG logs incorrect values for the bytesSent
attribute and the bytesRecv
attribute after 15 minutes. This behavior occurs when Forefront TMG logs periodic records for a long active session. This behavior causes TMG to be unable to create reports after a long active session.Note
After any server publishing rule publishes a SMTP server, and after a session to the server is active more than 15 minutes, this issue occurs.
